Read this news on the age titled Virgin Blue booboo sees gold turn to dust and I could relate to it because I received an email from Virgin Blue stating that I've turned Gold. In the email, they mentioned that they've got a treat for me which was to upgrade me to Velocity Gold! Apparently I came so close to making it on my own and they wanted to thank me so much for my ongoing commitment to Virgin Blue Group and they really love having me around. That was my first email from virgin blue at 6.09pm (Friday 13th November 2009).
At 8.48pm, they wrote me another email Saying:
Oops! Due to an error you've received our previous email by mistake. Please disregard the free upgrade communication as unfortunately you do not qualify for that upgrade.
Okay, so they decided to that they that I suddenly do not qualify for the upgrade!
What happens usually when you make flight bookings and after 3 hours, we decided that they do not qualify for our business. Would they ever allow me to refund my ticket? There is always cancellation cost involved and no tickets are refundable.
Well, maybe it's due Friday the 13th that this mistake happened. So, if I made my ticket bookings on the 13th august 2010 (the next Friday the 13th), will I be forgiven if I booked tickets online but changed my mind 3 hours later? Will Virgin Blue fully refund my ticket at no cost?
